Community Groups

We offer Community Care Circles filled with care, love and friendship. There are no more that 10 people in a care circle to ensure that everyone feels connected and supported.  Each care circle meets once a month either at cslto or in someone’s home and weather permitting, sometimes in the park. The current groups are: Men’s Group, Women’s Group, Knit One, Purl Two, Online Story Telling Group, Northern Lights Group in Sudbury Ontario, a Book Club and Expressing Your Creativity Group.

Pot luck luncheons and celebrations happen often because we believe in celebrating life, friendship and the accomplishments of community members.

Our local outreach programs include meditation with the Red Door Family Shelter, as well as knitted shawls for Covenant House and the Oakwood Community Care Home.

Global Outreach at cslto means teaming up with the Global Truth Centre in Los Angeles and travelling to Guatemala to work at an orphanage. Led by Scott Anderson of The Global Truth Centre, we planted crops, assisted with building and plumbing repairs, sharing our spirit and making friends with the beautiful children of Casa Guatemala. It was a dream come true.
