Interested in creating a meditation practise but are not sure where to begin?
Starting anything new can feel daunting. We often put up barriers to our own success, for example it’s too hard, I don’t know how, there isn’t enough time.
In truth, there is no right or wrong way to meditate and even 5 minutes a day can make a difference physically, mentally and spiritually.
It’s simply about embracing whatever is present in the moment and letting go of everything else. Sounds easy enough, but humans have 50,000 - 70,000 thoughts a day and without the necessary tools to help, quietening the mind can be a challenge.
If understanding more about the meditative process, the resulting benefits and the motivation to start sounds appealing, why not join us for a 90 minute beginners workshop, lead by Carole Calder, RScP Licensed Spiritual Practitioner Sunday September 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
A $10.00 donation in support of cslto would be greatly appreciated.
Meditation is like giving a hug to ourselves, getting in touch with that awesome reality in us. While meditating we feel a deep sense of intimacy with God, a love that is inexplicable.” ~Paramahansa Yogananda
